Cookie policy
Two cookies the site needs, one item of browser storage, and analytics only if you agree.

The short version
Two cookies keep the site working: one remembers your language, the other remembers your cookie choice. Neither needs your consent.
Google Analytics counts visits, and it is off unless you press Accept. Nothing analytics-related loads before that: no script, no request to Google. Pressing Reject costs you nothing.
The cookies the site needs
NEXT_LOCALE holds nothing but a language code — pt, en, fr or es. It is written on every visit, and again whenever you change language, so the site can serve you the right one. It is a session cookie: it carries no expiry date and your browser discards it when you close it.
cc-consent remembers your answer to the cookie banner. Its value is granted or denied, it belongs to this site alone, and it lasts six months, after which you are asked again.
Both are strictly necessary, one for the language to work and one to keep your choice, which is why the site does not ask your consent for them.
Browser storage
The site also uses one sessionStorage key, cc-intro. It records that the opening monogram animation has played, so that it only plays once per browser session.
It is not a cookie. It never leaves your browser and it is cleared when you close the tab.
YouTube
The films are embedded from youtube-nocookie.com, and the player is only loaded after you click play. Until you do, nothing is requested from YouTube and nothing from YouTube is stored on your device.
Analytics, only if you agree
The site can count visits with Google Analytics 4. Until you press Accept on the banner, it is not there: the scripts are not loaded, and no request reaches Google. Reject and the site works exactly the same; only the counting stops.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier for this site. It uses them to tell visitors and sessions apart. IP anonymisation is switched on. Google acts as a processor and is based in the United States; the privacy policy explains how that transfer is covered.
The two buttons on the banner are the same size and carry the same weight. Neither is the easy way out.
Controlling it, and what is not here
To change your answer at any time, use the "Cookie choice" link in the footer. It reopens the banner. You can also delete the cookies in your browser settings, or refuse cookies for this site entirely; the site keeps working either way.
There is no advertising, no remarketing, no Meta (Facebook) pixel and no third-party marketing tag on this site. Google Analytics is the only third-party tool that measures anything, and only after you accept.
For anything else, write to hello@christopher.pt. The privacy policy explains what happens to the data you send.
